Happy Birthday Ramya!
After many unsuccessful attempts (including getting inspired from Anil and trying pencil)
i could attempt this in watercolor.
I hope there is likeness at least.

A word about this sketch as :Din says we may choose to say something. When I saw the profile pic of Ramya on PJ, it reminded me of a Modigliani painting. (Photographer to be congratulated too for this delightful photograph!) I wanted to do a portrait based on this picture right away. When I asked Ramya for a bigger picture, she was all grace and kindness and sent me one.
I tried my hand at it a dozen times and failed. When I saw the CD subject today, I went for it again and here is the result!
Wish me luck, I plan to pursue this, to do this again more like a Modigliani work, sooner or later!

the southernmost tip of India
Vivekananda Rock and Thiruvalluvar statue give beautiful contrast to the rising sun.It is a mesmerising sight.Its one of those mornings that makes you fall in love with getting up really early,groggy eyed and you know its worth it.

Mumbai is family,vada pav with garlic chutney,heavy rains,pointless umbrellas,train rides,train friends,dense crowds,silent balcony mornings,rush hour planning.this is a view from the balcony at home.Mumbai has so much i have never seen,and i hope i see all of it some day :)
