With a slight abuse of the topic 'Mahavira', I am posting Bahubali from our very own Shravanabelagola. My selfish ulterior motive in this being, trying my hand at the Greeko-Indian Gandhara Style of art. The upturned lips, the stylised hair, the big ears, and yea the ajanu bahu - all have always got my attention!

So here comes Bahubali for you all :)

Live and let live

his beautiful andmiraculous idol of lord Mahaveera has a truestory which goes like this-There was a cowherd, he used to notice that cow comes home in evening with empty udders. One day he follows the cow and finds that she goes daily to a "Tila" (a small hill of sand) and emptied itself of all the milk she had on the top of that hill. Puzzled with that scene, the cowherd began to dig at that spot and found the statue of Bhagvan Shri Mahavir ji.
