623_Jim Corbett
Today's topic is Jim Corbett.
Today is Jim Corbett's birthday. More HERE.
A tiger is a large-hearted gentleman with boundless courage and that when he is exterminated - as exterminated he will be unless public opinion rallies to his support - India will be the poorer by having lost the finest of her fauna.
~ Jim Corbett
Tigers, except when wounded or when man-eaters, are on the whole very good-tempered...Occassionally a tiger will object to too close an approach to its cubs or to a kill that it is guarding. The objection invariably takes the form of growling, and if this does not prove effective itis followed by short rushes accompanied by terrifying roars. If these warnings are disregarded, the blame for any injury inflicted rests entirely with the intruder.
~ Jim Corbett
I had spent many nights in the jungle looking for game, but this was the first time I had ever spent a night looking for a man-eater. The length of road immediately in front of me was brilliantly lit by the moon, but to right and left the overhanging trees cast dark shadows, and when the night wind agitated the branches and the shadows moved, I saw a dozen tigers advancing on me, and bitterly regretted the impulse that had induced me to place myself at the man-eater's mercy. I lacked the courage to return to the village and admit I was too frightened to carry out my self-imposed task, and with teeth chattering, as much from fear as from cold, I sat out the long night. As the grey dawn was lighting up the snowy range which I
was facing, I rested my head on my drawn-up knees, and it was in this position my men an hour later found me fast asleep; of the tiger I had neither heard nor seen anything.
~ Jim Corbett, champawat man-eater

622_Hunter
Today's topic is Hunter.
I've always said I want a farmer, not a hunter. Hunters go for the kill and they move on. A farmer nurtures; he watches things grow.
~ Eva Longoria
It is thought that the changeover from hunter to farmer was a slow, gradual process.
~ Stephen Gardiner
I've seen a dead body, I've seen some pretty gruesome fist fights, I've been a hunter since I was a child, though I don't anymore, I've gutted wild game.
~ George Eads
Who gets the bird, the hunter or the dog?
~ John Lewis
In reality, I don't see myself as a man hunter. In fact, when it comes to love, I am rarely the one to make the first move.
~ Carla Bruni
The masculine energy was about survival. The male was the hunter who risked his life and had to be in the fight-flight mode.
~ Deepak Chopra
Vegetarian - that's an old Indian word meaning lousy hunter.
~ Andy Rooney

Stripey Royal Beasts
I had a chance to visit Ranthambore tiger reserve last december. We didn't get to see any tigers then because of it being off season for tiger spotting. But we came very close to one, we could hear a deer giving warning signals to other animals. Those few moments we waited quietly and gripped in suspense if the tiger would come face to face with us next second. As they say sometimes fantasy is better than the real thing. Hope to see it someday!
Wild tiger
Leave the wildlife alone!
Dont see them, dont hunt,
dont capture them to eat, wear, cure illness or display in zoos.
Do not show off to your circle that you spotted/didnt spot one.
Dont even try and protect them or they will vanish for sure.
Dont enter the dense forest at all or cut down their tree-cover.
Thats what makes them WILD.
They are off limits...let me repeat OFF-LIMITS.
If you want to see them so desperately, google.

Oh, the tiger will love you. There is no sincerer love than the love of food.
~ George Bernard Shaw
In waking a tiger, use a long stick.
~ Mao Zedong
An infallible method of conciliating a tiger is to allow oneself to be devoured.
~ Konrad Adenauer
I was a tiger, a good fighter, in good shape, but I was always nervous before boxing matches.
~ George Foreman
When a man wants to murder a tiger he calls it sport; when a tiger wants to murder him he calls it ferocity.
~ George Bernard Shaw

Today's topic is Clay.
The reproduction of mankind is a great marvel and mystery. Had God consulted me in the matter, I should have advised him to continue the generation of the species by fashioning them out of clay.
~ Martin Luther
I am a hidden meaning made to defy. The grasp of words, and walk away With free will and destiny. As living, revolutionary clay.
~ Muhammad Iqbal
The earth is rocky and full of roots; it's clay, and it seems doomed and polluted, but you dig little holes for the ugly shriveled bulbs, throw in a handful of poppy seeds, and cover it all over, and you know you'll never see it again - it's death and clay and shrivel, and your hands are nicked from the rocks, your nails black with soil.
~ Anne Lamott
It is very hard for me to switch from clay to grass.
~ Marat Safin
My mom's the one I look up to for everything. I feel like I'm a lump of clay and she's moulding me into a woman.
~ Chloe Grace Moretz
One has to be able to twist and change and distort characters, play with them like clay, so everything fits together. Real people don't permit you to do that.
~ Peter Carey
I like doing clay work. It's different from drawing on a page because you have something to mold into different shapes. It's quite visual, it's a thing you can hold and feel, and that makes it different from drawing.
~ Bonnie Wright
