Jingle bell...
When I was 10 or 12 years old, I got my first oil painting kit. I painted these Christmas bells on a drawing sheet (Engineering drawing kind) & stuck it up on the wall. The next morning, there was an oil shadow all around the bell. Then I learnt my first lesson, I had used too much oil! Haven't done much oil painting since then! Thanks CD for making me nostalgic!
This is colour pencil on Auroville sketch book.

The CD sky is falling down! Dinesh, Prabha, (who started CD) Charu & Sridhar (Who drew come what may & posted) have stopped posting in CD! Calamity! So the CD sky is falling down!
Who I am? I am the Chowkidaar I say! I tell you, I can hear the thunder & howling winds. I tell you, if these people are not back, CD sky will fall off!

Drum!
Drum roles for I am the only one to have uploaded today!
Everybody loves stories. So to make CD more exciting, I am sharing this story!
The topic drum, reminded me of a story I read some time in Tinkle.
Once a boy bought a drum at the village fair. He loved it so much that he would play it all day. He played it so badly that the villagers got annoyed with the noise, so they asked him to stop playing, but the boy refused & continued. no amount of pleading or threatening worked. So the villagers approached an old monk to help them. One day, as the boy came down a path playing the drum, the old monk smiled, asked him for the drum, played it & told the boy "Wonder what is inside that makes such a wonderful sound!" & walked away.
The boy, wondered, what made the sound? He could not contain his curiosity so he looked around, found a stone & broke his drum! There was nothing inside, the boy was disappointed & the village enjoyed peace!
All this story telling made me thirsty so now for a drink ;)
