We are what we think. All that we are arises with our thoughts. With our thoughts, we make the world.
~ Buddha

As a single footstep will not make a path on the earth, so a single thought will not make a pathway in the mind. To make a deep physical path, we walk again and again. To make a deep mental path, we must think over and over the kind of thoughts we wish to dominate our lives.

Live Life-Version 2

Live Life! - My Feelings

poet/ lyricist

more on him here

I was keen to read more of his work but in a physical book form (not e-version).
I came across an old one and it has been a brilliant read till date.

A flower poem

Pluck this little flower and take it, delay not! I fear lest it
droop and drop into the dust.

I may not find a place in thy garland, but honour it with a touch of
pain from thy hand and pluck it. I fear lest the day end before I am
aware, and the time of offering go by.

Though its colour be not deep and its smell be faint, use this flower
in thy service and pluck it while there is time.

He made his prophets poets; and the more
We feel of poesie do we become
Like God in love and power,—under-makers.
~ Philip James Bailey

“Poetry can be dangerous, especially beautiful poetry, because it gives the illusion of having had the experience without actually going through it.”

601_Riddle

Rid dles :)

Today's topic reminded me of a old hindi song, "nadi kinare gaun re, bhooj mera kya naam re"

So, inspired, here are two riddles, both translated from kannada :)

Riddle 1:
Mother is prickly, the daughter is bald & the grand daughter is smooth!
What is it?

Riddle 2:
There are three friends, when you put them in water, one floats, one sinks & the third dissolves. Who are they?

Riddle -Kolam

Some Kolams are like riddles I feel. They look elegant but people making it must really know which turn to take. This could be like a puzzle maze game for kids to create with ropes or something. Sorry for the quickie post.

Riddle

Q. It's been around for millions of years, but it's no more than a month old. What is it?

Tom Riddle creator

An attempt to sketch J K Rowling, who is a British novelist,
best known as the author of the Harry Potter fantasy series.

Tom Marvolo Riddle is a fictional character from the said series,
later came to be known as Lord Voldemort which is an anagram.
He was also called "You-Know-Who" or "He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named".
A half-blood wizard, he was considered to be
the most powerful Dark Wizard of all time.

The series make a fascinating read everytime.

A riddle that I heard nearly 4 decades back!
