a life of serving

The Mother

Mother to all

She helped the poorest of the poor, gave them the courage to live and the feeling of their worth,
Mother Theresa will remain unforgotten, and be an example after her death.
                                                   Helmut Kohl

The young mother

Born Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhin on August 26th 1910

"Keep the joy of loving the poor and share this joy with all you meet.  Remember works of love are works of Peace.  God bless you.     -       Mother Theresa

Mother

Mother Teresa!

Quoting Mother Teresa's Anyway Poem

People are often unreasonable, illogical and self centered;
Forgive them anyway.

If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives;
Be kind anyway.

If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true enemies;
Succeed anyway.

If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you;
Be honest and frank anyway.

What you spend years building, someone could destroy overnight;
Build anyway.

If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous;
Be happy anyway.

The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow;
Do good anyway.

Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough;
Give the world the best you've got anyway.

You see, in the final analysis, it is between you and your God;
It was never between you and them anyway!!

Idol of motherhood

Today's word is Mother Teresa.

“Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love.”

“If you judge people, you have no time to love them.”

“Everytime you smile at someone, it is an action of love, a gift to that person, a beautiful thing.”

“I'm a little pencil in the hand of a writing God, who is sending a love letter to the world.”

"No aquarium, no tank in a marine land, however spacious it may be, can begin to duplicate the conditions of the sea. And no dolphin who inhabits one of those aquariums or one of those marine lands can be considered normal."

song of colours

Lessons for the drongo

Lesser Raquet-tailed Drongo :-  Glossy Blue black plumage, outer tail feathers elongated like wire ending in 'raquets', giving the illusion as if the bird is pursued by a pair of bumblebees.  Calls with a variety of whistles and screams, an amazing mimic.

The parent teaches the young bird the song with constant repetition, and you can hear it practising, in the trees.

288_Tulip: Bloom where you're planted

Tulips

Tulip mania was a period in the Dutch Golden Age during which contract prices for bulbs of the recently introduced tulip reached extraordinarily high levels and then suddenly collapsed. At the peak of tulip mania, in February 1637, some single tulip bulbs sold for more than 10 times the annual income of a skilled craftsman. It is generally considered the first recorded speculative bubble (or economic bubble) -source wiki.
