A work in progress. Tried out a rough sketch to capture the man's intensity.
Somehow I like this one more than the finished one below. It's intense!
The master with a couple of his immortal quotes
Dinesh Francis | HB and 8B pencils | Bond Paper | Intensity
Even i liked the first one....the first one has some cruel stair..while the second one looks sad..
ReplyDeleteWell he certainly was sad, tortured and depressed, but definitely not cruel! :/
DeleteBoth are great as usual! U can never go wrong!!
Deleteactually I not ment to say cruel...but i liked the stair in the first pic..
DeleteI agree Surendra, he had a really mysterious and intense look. Reading his "Letters to Theo" reveals much about the man's inner life and artistic insights. Inspiring, to say the least!
Deletedin knew this..there's lot of letters to read for me..
DeleteWow! A true Din-gogh style!! ;) Clearly him & clearly your style. I like how you don't digress from your style. n I actually like the second one..he looks profoundly thoughtful than sad. Hadn't come across his quotes before. Lovely just like him!
ReplyDeleteIt's a paradox that many artists who went through periods of intense depression and mental illness, emerged with, and expressed, the most brilliant of insights, profound creativity and spiritual wisdom.
Deleteok i'll try! :P hehehe
DeleteNot too hard :P :)
Deleteeven i like the second one .. its calm n nice .. first one is a little scary n disturbed ... but both r as usual amazing bcos u drew it .. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Rubeena. This motivates me to do better :)
Deletewow nice one sorry nice two with his quotes too...! liked much din ur version...!
ReplyDeleteNever thought he can be tooned! Like both moody versions.
