257_Saree, North Indian Style
Today's word is Saree, North Indian Style.
To round up our Saree theme, let's draw a saree draped in any of the North Indian styles. Maharashtrian, Gujarati, Bengali, Haryanvi... any style, but just get creative!
Happy Drawing :)

The "hands free" saree
As the legend goes, when the River Kaveri came flowing down and swerved to the right at Balamuri, the force of the water pushed the pleats of the saris of the Kodava women, who were waiting there for her(Kaveri), from the front to the rear. It is said that ever since then, in the traditional Kodava style of draping the sari, the pleats are tucked in at the waist at the back rather than in front, as is common in most parts of India.source: internet.
256_Saree, Coorg Style
Today's word is Saree, Coorg Style.
Let's go for a couple more variations on Saree, as suggested by Meenu.
Happy Drawing :)

Saree shopping
Every one looks beautiful in a sari!
But not men right :)
This incident happened when i was out saree shopping for the first time. The salesmen are usually men,but i was new to saree shopping,so imagine my surprise when this guy in his 20's beautifully draped the saree on himself.I could barely keep myself from laughing on his face.
