Durga Khote
First day of CD after ages.
Drew the above sketch in the shaky bus while going to work,
tried all day to upload the sketch on blogger but couldnt succeed via a 2G phone,
returned home now at 11.30 pm after being stuck in traffic for 4.5 hours.
It has been a pleasure to draw Durga Khote as she is a quintessential Indian mother.

ED ..Enjoy Drawing!!
When I first heard of CD,I instantly fell for it as I got new topics, and it was a daily challenge to connect
politics for each topic. I was so hooked on to it,
that I felt like a kid eagerly waiting for the
Teacher to post the topic of the day!! Once the topic given was Fruit
Salad..and I racked my head for an idea…Lo…I got it! I drew a cartoon of a man offering Anna Hazare a Fruit salad with the punch line: “Annaji, an MP has sent this to you, so that you don’t talk about the Lokpal
Bill at least while eating it”!! It was real fun to enjoy the toons of Dinesh, th humour of Akila, the wonderful paintings of Prabha, Charu, Vidhu, Bhaktha and many others. In the end Ranjani and Subhashini too chipped in with their kids...But then all good things come to an end..and so it was with CD as all became busy in their own activities...Still Charu and me held fort...until one fine day Charu too left...At this juncture I feel so happy that I have drawn for all the topics given to me ever since I started drawing for CD!! The end of CD does not mean CLOSING DOWN but CONTINUE DRAWING...Let's ED..ENJOY DRAWING!! CHEERS!!
